Lynn Browne started this website in 2011 to explore ways of re-vitalizing the American economy and strategies for improving economic opportunity. A major focus was stabilizing manufacturing employment.
The website was dormant from 2015 to 2021.
In re-activating the website, I hope to address a broader range of issues, but the overall goal remains the same: a more vital U.S. economy.
Lynn Browne is an economist specializing in monetary policy and regional development. I worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston from 1975 to 2011, retiring as Executive Vice President and Economic Advisor. From 2012 to 2021 I taught a course on central banks' functions, tools and challenges at Brandeis University.
